It seems to simple and obvious now, but asking these four actors to play totally against type because they are teenagers inhabiting the bodies of video game avatars was a stroke of genius, and the long-in-development sequel Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle benefitted from the chemistry in all of the best ways possible.
