Someone Edited Deadpool Into The Avengers: Endgame Trailer, And You Cant Unsee It

While we may not know the fate of everybody in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, it does appear that Deadpool survived, as a fan who has been making a habit of inserting Deadpool into Avengers trailers has now given the same treatment to the latest Avengers: Endgame trailer, and the result is actually pretty entertaining. Check it out.

The Deadpool-filled trailer gives us all of the video that we got with the new Avengers: Endgame trailer, but replaces all of the audio with commentary by Deadpool, or at least a reasonable facsimile provided by the Mightyraccoon! YouTube channel. If you've seen any of the previous trailers the channel did that added Deadpool, you'll know what you're seeing here. We get a combination of Deadpool making sardonic comments to the Avengers as well as becoming several of them at various points in the trailer.

There are a couple of rock solid highlights, which come when Deadpool actually becomes part of the trailer, in the flashback shot from Captain America: The First Avenger, Deadpool actually lifts the pre-super soldier Steve Rogers so that he can better see himself as a soldier, which is great, and a nice bit of video manipulation. Then, at the end, Deadpool gets clocked in the back of the head by Stormbreaker. It's a simple gag, but an effective one.

It's actually sort of nice to get this shot of humor in the Avengers: Endgame trailer. The Marvel movies usually have a good sense of humor to them, but the dour and desperate circumstances surrounding the new movie means that everybody is very serious and nobody is cracking a smile. There's probably some humor in the film, but showing it off in the trailers would almost certainly shift the tone quite radically.

Of course, with the expectation that the Disney/Fox merger will be officially complete as of later this week, one can't help but wonder if something like what we see here is actually in our future. The Deadpool movies are one of the few parts of the Fox/Marvel universe that are hits and likely to survive the merger without being rebooted. Does that mean we could see Deadpool along side the Avengers in a future movie? It seems like a long shot, but at this point pretty much anything is possible.

With this likely being the last trailer we will see before Avengers: Endgame hits theaters, it could be our last Deadpool-infused trailer. We have no idea at this point if there will ever even be another Avengers movie, or what characters it will include if we do see it. We're not sure what MCU movies we'll get after Spider-Man: Far From Home. While we now know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will happen, it's going to come much later than originally planned.

The Nun First Look Shows Off The Conjuring Spinoff's Monster

The Nun First Look Shows Off The Conjuring Spinoff's Monster

James Wan's Conjuring universe has become one of Hollywood's most interesting cinematic worlds. The horror franchise has built up a solid reputation for delivering great scares and some truly memorable villains, and one of the most terrifying of the bunch is Valak, the demonic nun who first appeared in The Conjuring 2. The character will soon take center stage in director Corin Hardy's upcoming spinoff, The Nun, and now the first official look at Valak from the film has finally hit the web. Check it out, below.

We hope that you weren't planning on sleeping tonight, because that's thoroughly creepy. Taking an old-school horror approach to the look of the character, that first look keeps things mostly in black and white and maintains that painted look that made the character so iconic when she first appeared in front of Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) in The Conjuring 2. This picture doesn't offer up much in terms of plot details, but it definitely seems to bode well for the design of the character.

As far as plot details are concerned, The Nun will chronologically be the first Conjuring movie on the franchise timeline -- taking place several years before Annabelle: Creation. The film will follow a Catholic priest (Alien: Covenant's Demin Bichir) set to Romania by The Vatican to investigate the mysterious death of a nun at a monastery. Along the way, he will find himself face to face with the titular demon that has become the unofficial face of The Conjuring franchise.

There's already quite a bit of fan enthusiasm to see what happens in this movie. The Nun briefly received a tease in Annabelle: Creation during a scene in which Sister Charlotte (Stephanie Sigman) looked at an old photograph, and then again during a post-credits scene laying the groundwork for the upcoming spinoff. You can check out the post-credits scene, below.

If you're a Conjuring universe fan who has been looking forward to the release of The Nun, then you will have to wait a little longer than initially expected. The film was supposed to debut in the middle of summer, but it recently found itself hit with a delay to September 7. Though this means that the film won't debut quite as early as previously expected, the shift to the late summer slot could allow it to capture that same box office magic experienced by Andy Muschietti's IT in September 2017.

The Nun will premiere in theaters later this year on September 7. Check out the latest horror romp from The Conjuring universe when it finally premieres and keep an eye on our 2018 movie premiere guide to stay up-to-date on all of the latest and greatest film releases!

How The Avengers Team Wants Fans To View Marvel Films 30 Years From Now

How The Avengers Team Wants Fans To View Marvel Films 30 Years From Now

On the eve of the release of Avengers: Endgame, there has been a lot of looking back at the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Over the last 11 years and 22 movies Marvel Studios has done something nobody has ever done before, bringing the cross-title continuity of comic books onto the silver screen. In addition to simply succeeding in that effort, the movies have been incredibly successful. But how will history judge this incredible accomplishment? The original six Avengers and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige were recently asked that question and they had a lot of feelings on the topic. Jeremy Renner, for one, wonders how the MCU's success could potentially change the industry decades down the road...

I wonder what the ripple effect of it will be in 30 years. 'Look what Feiges done!' How do you do a series of films? Twenty-two films! How do you do that?

It's very likely that we will see a ripple effect down the line, considering that we largely already have. Following the beginning of the MCU, we saw Warner Bros. and DC follow suit with their own collection of comic book heroes. We've also seen a cinematic universe spring up around Godzilla and King Kong and an attempt at launching one around Universal's classic movie monsters, who arguably invented the concept back in the 1940s.

While other cinematic universes have met with varying degrees of success, and none have been as successful as Marvel, it seems unlikely that nobody else will ever try to launch one again. The opportunity for gain is simply too great. The cinematic universe gives the impression that otherwise unconnected stories need to be seen by fans who don't want to miss any elements of the larger storyline. This means that even when two and three films a year are released, fans are off to see them in the theaters, even if they don't necessarily focus on characters that fans care about.

Of course, just because other studios will almost certainly continue to try to emulate the success of the MCU, doesn't mean they will be successful. Chris Evans tells EW that what Kevin Feige and Marvel have done is something that nobody will be able to do again.

Im always amazed with the ability that Kevin has had to house this giant tapestry of all these woven plotlines. I just dont think its ever going to happen again. I dont think anyone has the ability to launch all these different rockets, and then years down the road have them all explode at once. Its just the planning and the care and the subtlety to it.

That's really the question. Can something like this happen again? Can even Marvel Studios do it again? While Marvel movies will continue after Avengers: Endgame, we have no idea what they will look like. Endgame is designed to be and endpoint of sorts. How much of the story will continue, how much the focus will shift to other characters or stories we still don't know. The MCU won't be starting at zero but it may very well be starting fresh, meaning even Marvel may have difficulty emulating its own success.

In the past 10 years of Marvel Studios, the there have been over 20 superhero movies, including several team-ups and, most recently, the beginning of the end with Avengers: Infinity War.
