Re-Watch Captain Marvel's Mid-Credits Scene Before Seeing Avengers: Endgame

Warning: SPOILERS for Captain Marvel are ahead!

Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe began in 2008, each movie has included at least one extra scene either in the middle of or after the credits, many of which have teased events to come. Captain Marvel kept this tradition going last month, and with only a few days to go until the next MCU installment, Avengers: Endgame, arrives in theaters, now you can officially watch the mid-credits scene that was attached to Carol Danvers origin story.

Since were still a few months off from Captain Marvel being released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD, the only way one could have watched the movies mid and post-credits scenes is either see it in theaters again or find a bootlegged recording online. Fortunately, the Marvel Studios Twitter page included it in its rundown today of the MCUs many (but not all) mid/post-credits scenes. Alas, if youve been wanting to watch a high definition version of Goose coughing up the Tesseract, youll need to keep waiting.

As the MCUs second period piece, Captain Marvels main story took place in 1995, over a decade before the events of the modern MCU unfolded. However, in the middle of its credits, we jumped back to the present day, i.e. post-Avengers: Infinity War, when half of all life in the universe was snapped away by Thanos. Infinity Wars post-credits scene showed Nick Fury activating the spruced-up pager Carol Danvers gave him before he also turned to dust.

Somehow, the surviving Avengers found Nick Furys pager and brought it back to their base, unsure of what it is and whos on the other end of the signal its broadcasting. Lucky for them, they wont have to wait long after it shuts off to learn whos getting the signal, as Carol Danvers has arrived at Avengers HQ wondering where Nick Fury is. Sit down, Carol, they have some bad news for you.

While Im not 100% sure about this, I suspect that Captain Marvels mid-credits scene actually comes from Avengers: Endgame itself, similar to how Ant-Man showed a portion of Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange showed a position of Thor: Ragnarok. Perhaps Endgame will show how Captain America, Black Widow and the others feared about Nick Furys pager, and/or maybe well see Carol Danvers receive the transmission from wherever she was in the universe.

Even if thats not the case, now that Carol is back on Earth after all these years, she can ideally help turn the tide in the upcoming re-match against Thanos. While an earlier Avengers: Endgame clip revealed how she and the other heroes intend to take the Infinity Stones from Thanos and undo his genocide, we have no idea if theyll accomplish that. Frankly, were still in the dark about a lot of this movie.

Captain Marvel is winding down its run in theaters, but you can watch Carol Danvers team up with all the other surviving MCU heroes in Avengers: Endgame starting this weekend. Dont forget to also look through our Marvel movies guide to learn what else is on the horizon for this superhero franchise.

SOUL STONE. This is one of the biggest mysteries in the MCU right now - where the hell is the Soul Stone? Literally every other Infinity Stone has been introduced in a previous film, except the Soul Stone. Is it hidden in the Vibranium mound beneath Wakanda? In Hawkeye's stupid farm? Inside Nebula's skull? My take: It's on Titan.

Men In Black Internationals Ending Should Have Gone In A Different Direction

Men In Black Internationals Ending Should Have Gone In A Different Direction

Warning: SPOILERS for Men In Black International are in play. If you havent seen the film, turn around and come back once youve caught up.

Men In Black International was supposed to be a big step in a new direction for the legendary sci-fi/comedy series. A big step that, depending on who you talk to, had plenty of issues. Which is only fitting because by time the film wraps, we learn that the Men In Black themselves have a bit of a problem within their own ranks, as a traitorous mole almost wipes out the Earth.

Of course, Tessa Thompsons Agent M and Chris Hemsworths Agent H unmask Liam Neesons High T as the villain, take him out with the greatest weapon in the galaxy, and go back to their jobs in the ranks of the MIB. Only, Agent H actually gets promotes to the head of the London bureau, because High T wanted it that way.

That decision might be the biggest mistake in the Men In Black franchise, but it's definitely the biggest misstep in Men In Black International. It screws with the films story and messes with the prospect for future films, as it not only takes Agent H out of commission as a field agent, it asks a lot of questions about the Men In Black organization in general.

Agent H Still Feels Too Inexperienced To Be A Supervising AgentWell just get the most obvious problem out of the way first. In his grand feat of heroism, later exposed as a fraudulent happening, Agent H and High T supposedly defeated The Hive at the Eiffel Tower. Commemorated in a stylish portrait that T keeps in his office, its flanked by only one other portrait: Agents J and K taking down Edgar at the former site of the New York Worlds Fair in Queens. Both are pretty big accomplishments at face value, but certainly not on a level to give someone this big of a promotion.

Giving Agent H head of section at MIB London is like putting Agent J in charge the moment Zed vacated his seat as MIB New Yorks section chief. But even if that had happened in Men In Black 3, the film that put Emma Thompsons incredibly sharp O in charge of the New York branch, there was a 15 year gap between those events, and Agent J proved himself as capable. There was only a three year gap between the Paris incident and Men In Black Internationals contemporary-set adventure, and in these three years, Agent H has been slacking.

Even Returning To His Former Self, Agent H Has Some Lost Time To Make UpOnly getting the position as head of the MIB London branch because High T left specific instructions to do so, Agent H still has to answer for the fact that hes been under an alien influence that turned him into the slacker field agent hed been known to be since the Paris incident of 2016. While three years isnt too much time to make up for, theres still a questionable gape in Hs service record, which should immediately disqualify him for any sort of promotion.

While hes still just a probationary head of MIB London, and that decision would most likely be revoked before a hypothetical Men In Black International sequel, its still a bad move. Even if hes only temporarily overseeing MIB London, Agent H isnt exactly an agent who is the pillar of respect, especially after coasting on his accomplishments for three years. Though even if he wasnt slouching and given this opportunity for promotion validly, the fact still remains that Agent H is more of a field agent, especially with his capable new partner offering a proper foil to his exploits.

Agent H Belongs In The Field With Agent MTaking away the case of Agent Hs abilities as a Men In Black operative, its still pretty clear that hes best used as a field agent in MIB Londons ranks. Even in his lesser skilled mode of working through Men In Black Internationals crisis, you can see that field work is his definitely in his skill set. Quick witted, ready with a plan, and easily gliding through his environments, H is pretty capable in field action; especially now that he has Agent M by his side.

M compliments Hs flash and style with hard thought and complimentary energy. While H has the plans and the impetus to move forward with them, M is the brains of the operation who can inform their decision making process with the required knowledge. Theyre a hell of a team together, and it already feels like a bad idea to break them apart at the end of Men In Black International. Doing so for a management position is even worse of an idea, especially when theres one particular agent that should have gotten the position without question.

Agent C Is Way More Qualified For Head Of SectionSet up as a red herring for the potential mole of Men In Black International, Rafe Spalls Agent C seems like a regulatory nightmare when it comes to the actions of our heroes throughout the film. Hes the type that knows the handbook back and forth, and is a stickler for the rules that are part of being a Men In Black operative. But as it turns out, hes not some evil presence trying to stick it to Agent H and Agent M for the hell of it, hes doing it because he believes in those rules. And Agent O, despite being wise and seeing everything going on in MIB London, is still okay with Agent H getting the top slot.

That is precisely the person you want in charge of the Men In Black International lot. Agent Cs actions arent meant to harm anyone, theyre by book. And if your field agents are going to skip the rules and operate outside of the lines, someone needs to know when to let them loose and when to keep them in line. Agent C is that type of person, who definitely could learn to loosen up a bit, but very easily could run the organization in a way that doesnt compromise the planet or its defenses.

Ultimately, rebuking Agent Hs promotion as probationary head of MIB London isnt meant to slam him as an ineffective agent. The man didnt get to where he is today by merely being a doofus. But giving him the top slot, merely because his boss said so, is an egregious error that should have been called out by Agent O at the end of Men In Black International.

It doesnt look like well be getting a sequel to this film anytime soon, as the troubles that the film had behind the scenes seem to have spilled over into the films theatrical release. But if this story is to continue, there are some decisions that should be questioned to the fullest extent of continuing the Men In Black story, and the greatest concern is giving Agent H the top slot at MIB London.

Men In Black International is in theaters now, but if youre looking for a new adventure into the multiplex, the 2019 release schedule is going to be your best bet for finding that next round of excitement.

Outlander's Sam Heughan Did Audition For James Bond

Outlander's Sam Heughan Did Audition For James Bond

The debate over who could take over as James Bond after Daniel Craig leaves has been raging for years now, with plenty of names bandied about regarding who could land the coveted role. One of those names has been Sam Heughan, the tall and very Scottish lead of Starz's Outlander. Recently, Sam Heughan revealed on Live with Kelly and Ryan that he did actually audition for the popular gig at one point. When asked whether or not he had entertained the idea of playing James Bond, he said:

Have I thought about it? Yeah, no I have a few times. I actually did audition for Bond a long time ago when they were redoing it with Daniel Craig, when he was Bond 21. They were going to go younger with him and it was a pretty cool experience. And it's about time we had a Scottish Bond.

Bond 21 was quite a while ago. Casino Royale came out way back in 2006--so, well over a decade ago. Sam Heughan would have only been 26 at the time the movie came out and he wasn't as well-known during that period as he is now. In fact, the Scottish actor at the time only had a few TV gigs under his belt, including River City and a guest stint on the popular crime drama Midsomer Murders. Although he revealed to Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest that Bond was looking to go younger during the Casino Royale period, the role eventually went to Daniel Craig, who was 38 when his first Bond flick came out.

Originally, it wasn't clear that Daniel Craig would be back for Bond 25, so the rumor mill has been talking about people who could potentially be a good fit for the role for quite a long while. Major names like Henry Cavill, Richard Madden, Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston have been bandied about. However, Sam Heughan has also stood out among those names as a popular pick and it's certainly interesting to learn that he did in fact try out for the role at one point. At this point, Sam Heughan is approaching 40, as well, which may actually be a point in his favor when casting for the next James Bond happens.

Sam Heughan and Kelly Ripa got into a spirited conversation about beautiful people during the Live with Ryan and Kelly episode and you can also watch them decide Diane Lane should be a Bond girl in Bond 26 in the full clip, below.

One issue to potentially signing on Sam Heughan as James Bond is his lengthy Outlander schedule. While Daniel Craig will likely be replaced as Bond after Bond 25 eventually hits theaters, Outlander has already been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6 on Starz and it's likely the series will continue longer than that. For example, the books Diana Gabaldon has written in the series currently tally in at 8 and the author is working on a ninth. With roughly one book covered per season of the TV show, Sam Heughan will likely be employed by the pay cable network for some time to come. So, we'll have to wait and see if James Bond is in the cards, as well.

For now, you can catch new episodes of Outlander on Sunday nights on Starz. Stay tuned for more Bond 25 info and Bond casting speculation here at CinemaBlend.
