Star Wars Fans Got Asked To Add An F-Bomb To Revenge Of The Sith, And Their Responses Did Not Disappoint

The internet is a wild and wonderful place. While it's often filled with trolls and people saying things they would never dream of saying during real-life interactions, it can also bring about a lot of joy, and community-building connection. One such time of community was had recently when someone used Twitter to remind Star Wars fans that, as a PG-13 rated film, Revenge of the Sith was allowed to include one utterance of the word "fuck," which it, unfortunately, did not take advantage of.

Those following along with Twitter user Hallowillis were then asked just where they thought that magnificent F-bomb should go, leading to an awesome string of answers that prove to all around the world that social media really is good for something. To start things off, Hallowillis gave everyone his own insight into the matter:

While it certainly would have been cool to hear one of the bad guys of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith throw in a heavy curse word, I, and many of those on Twitter who responded, feel that the movie's lone "fuck" may have been more effective coming from the mouth of one or our protagonists. To wit:

See? I think that's basically perfect placement and usage for a good, solid "fuck" in Revenge of the Sith. Obi-Wan is so sage and stately, even during most of his younger years, that it would be nice for him to lose his cool a bit with his frequently annoying and soon to be evil mentee and just literally say "fuck" it already.

Of course, Twitter pointed out that at least one other character with a serious, deep relationship with Anakin should be allowed to lob a nice "fuck" at him as things begin to fall apart in Revenge of the Sith. And, her name rhymes with Sadme, which is really quite fitting...

Oh, the poor dear. She just never had a chance, did she? You'd think that once you meet a several-years-younger slave child and eventually fall in love with him that your destiny as a happy and healthy young woman would bet set, but, not so...apparently. Let's pour one out for Padme, shall we?

Obviously, there is one Revenge of the Sith character who stands out, far above all the rest, when it comes to a possible "fuck" being dealt in the film. If you don't already know who I'm talking about, you might just be one sad-ass motherfucker.

Come on, guys! How do we have Samuel L. Jackson, Filmic King of Fucks, in this movie and not give him the one "fuck" that will be uttered? It would be a motherfucking shame if we didn't, right?

Last, but absolutely not least, someone thinks that one very special person should get to say the magic word in Revenge of the Sith. And, if that person were here with me as I write this, he'd probably stare at me intently until he crushed my throat for calling him annoying earlier.

Ah, yes. Wouldn't this have been a perfect culmination to all the evil-turning drama of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith? Now all we need, while we wait for Star Wars: Episode IX to open on December 20, 2019, is for some committed fan to make a version of the movie that features all these F-bombs and put it online so we can all revel in it like it's the first time we've seen the film at all.

Elton John Didn't Want Taron Egerton To Sound Like Him In Rocketman

Youve probably heard by now that actor Taron Egerton does all of his own singing for his role as Elton John in Rocketman. Its incredible and just adds another layer of authenticity to the performance that helps Taron Egerton disappear into the role. But while being able to sing is a huge deal, Elton John himself had a specific request for the actor playing him, as Taron Egerton explained:

He said not to try and sound like him, which is tough when youre playing him.

This certainly seems counterintuitive and Taron Egerton said as much when speaking with The Hollywood Reporter at the premiere of Rocketman. When youre an actor in a biopic, the logical assumption is that you should try to become that person in any and every way possible, from look and mannerisms to way of speaking and, when the subject is a famous rock star, as is the case in Rocketman, singing.

But Elton John did not want Taron Egerton to try and sound like him which is something that the actor had to work on because it went against his instincts in the role. Hes dressed as Elton John and singing Elton John songs, but Elton John doesnt want him to sound like Elton John. Who knows how much practice was for naught after that request.

Taron Egerton must have been quite taken aback upon hearing this request and had to adjust his whole approach to the singing in the film. Yet, he has said that he really just wanted to make Elton John happy with his performance, so if thats what Elton wants, thats what Elton gets.

Taron Egerton didnt reveal why Elton John made the request that he not try and sound like him, so we are left to speculate. Perhaps hearing Taron Egertons singing chops, Elton John just wanted the actor to use his own voice and not try and imitate him because it wouldnt be as powerful and authentic, and he would sound better if he didnt.

We know Elton John thought highly of Taron Egertons singing, and it sounds like he wanted him to put his own spin on the beloved tunes and express himself as an artist without being afraid to try things because they wouldnt adhere to what Elton sounds like. The important thing is that the songs sound good and Taron Egerton captures the essence of Elton Johns music, even if he doesnt sound exactly like him.

This request seems to have worked all around. Rocketman is receiving rave reviews and given that Elton John is sending positive notices to Taron Egerton, one assumes that he was happy with how it all turned out.

Spoilers ahead for Avengers: Infinity War.One of the biggest hurdles Marvel will have to face over the next year is not keeping up the hype for Avengers 4, or simply waiting too long to reveal the film's name. Instead it will be marketing the movies that come after Avengers 4, and risk giving away what happened to the characters after the grand conclusion. The most immediate obstacle is Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 (not the official title), which comes out a few short months after Avengers 4. Marvel might be stressing over it, but Tom Holland sure isn't. The actor is having a bit of fun with his fans on social media over what comes next for his character.

Over on Twitter, Tom Holland and director J.A. Bayona are having some fun with an tweet thread. After an article revealed Tom Holland knew the plot of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom before even Chris Pratt, Bayona jokingly wrote on Twitter that Holland was supposed to keep that a secret. Holland, who infamously isn't trusted by Marvel with spoilers, wrote back that there's a reason no one ever tells him anything. Then Bayona replied that he would make sure not to say anything about Spider-Man: Homecoming's sequel, to which Holland replied that Bayona must not have seen the ending of Avengers: Infinity War.

It's not the first time that Holland has had a good laugh over Spider-Man's fate, and dust memes have certainly taken off on the internet since Infinity War came out. However, this does raise the interesting point of how exactly Marvel and Sony are supposed to market a Spider-Man sequel without tipping a hat to how the character presumably comes back to life. There's also the fact that any marketing would let fans know that Spider-Man will be alright, which does run the risk of removing the stakes from Avengers 4.

On the other hand, people have already assumed that everyone is coming back to life in Avengers 4, so is it really that big a deal to market the Spider-Man sequel?

The Spider-Man sequel is supposed to take place right after Avengers 4, so here's hoping nothing gets spoiled in the trailers for how the final Phase 3 movie ends. The trailers for Sony's Venom have been disappointing, so we'll just have to wait and see how that all works out.

In any case, there is a Spider-Man 2 happening, with Tom Holland set to reprise his role and Jake Gyllenhaal being courted to play the long-awaited Mysterio. The movie is currently set for release on July 5, 2019.

This morning, just after midnight, the merger between 21st Century Fox and the Walt Disney Company became official. That meant that numerous franchises and characters have now joined the House of Mouse, and it looks like Deadpool could not be happier. Ryan Reynolds posted an image to his Twitter account commemorating the new era which shows Deadpool heading off to join his new bosses. Check it out.

The image shows Deadpool sitting in a classic yellow school bus, which happens to have the Disney name on it. The Merc with a Mouth is wearing the classic Mickey Mouse ears, which you figure have to be standard issue for all cast members of the Walt Disney Company. He looks like a little kid on the way to his first day of school, and for him I suppose it is. He needs to learn exactly what the plan is for him under this new corporate structure.

The film rights to the Deadpool character are officially in the hands of Marvel once again as the result of this merger. This creates an opportunity for Deadpool and his fellow mutants to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though it's unclear exactly how, or even if, such a thing would work.

Disney CEO Bob Iger had previously stated that he had no problem continuing to make Deadpool movies that continue to be mature titles. However, at this point the only project on the drawing board, an X-Force film that would include Deadpool as one member of a team, is maybe dead. Does this mean there's no place in the new Marvel for the old Deadpool after all?

It will probably be some time before we hear any major announcements regarding the future of Deadpool or any other of the major franchises that Disney just took over. There's a lot of work to be done and a lot of decisions to be made. Disney has to learn where the various in-development projects currently stand, decide which ones the studio wants to make a priority, which may not be identical to the way Fox felt, and which ones can sit on the back burner.

At the same time, it's also possible Disney already has a plan in place. The studio announced news Star Wars movies essentially concurrently with the announcement that it had purchased Lucasfilm. If Disney has decided it wants Deadpool to be an important part of the future, we could get a release date for X-Force or an official announcement that Deadpool 3 is coming literally any day.

If and when we do see Deadpool again, you can be pretty sure he'll be kicking down the fourth wall with numerous jokes about what it's like working for Disney now. The irony is just too much fun to ignore.

Balancing the R-rated version of Deadpool with the company whose name is synonymous with family friendly entertainment is clearly going to be a delicate matter. The character is incredibly popular and it seems unlikely Disney is going to want to say goodbye to the money that could be made. At the same time, don't expect to see Deadpool walking around Disneyland anytime soon.
